  • LET US PRINT TICKETS AT HOME!!!

Concert was incredibleConcert, and venue was gorgeous!

  • A real downer kickoff - bummer overall

by Wren on 4/18/25Jefferson Theater - CharlottesvilleRating: 2 out of 5

Her voice and the band all were great. However they opened late with Sweet Jane and then filled the next hour saying they’ll be playing their new album first. And their new album was really dark and depressing. Then intermission. After intermission they started in on some oldies but only hit one or two from there most famous stuff by the time we left at 10:30. The Jefferson theater chairs aren’t at all comfortable and the concert just got long and unsatisfying. We left and played trinity sessions on our way home. Bummed we didn’t hear it by the junkies. I know artists want to play their new stuff and that’s their call. But we felt we didn’t get what we came for.

  • Cowboy Junkies do not Disappoint!

by Marko on 4/14/25Birchmere - AlexandriaRating: 5 out of 5

First of all, the Birchmere is a fantastic venue. Some people were concerned with the lack of assigned seats, but their system works very well. My wife and I both had the catfish for dinner as we waited for the show to start, and it was great. Despite some online reviews saying the service was slow, we didn't find that to be the case at all. The service was excellent, and the food came out a lot faster than we thought it would! So what can you say about a band like the Cowboy Junkies that hasn't already been said? Margo's voice is as incredible and haunting as ever, and their sound was simply spectacular. She took the time to talk about how their sets were arranged, telling the audience that the first set had a lot of new material, and the second set had a lot of older favorites. Margo was funny, engaging, and she connected right away with the audience. She shared that her family had suffered the loss of their Dad from Alzheimer's, and that experience and resulting grief had been the source for some of their most recent music. As an audience member, it was very powerful to know and understand the meaning behind a lot of these songs, especially the newer ones. And let's face it, nobody can deliver on emotional lyrics like Margo can! I'd go see the Cowboy Junkies again tonight if I could! They are a gifted group of musicians and I love their music, but beyond that, the connection they form with their fans and audience made the show very memorable.

  • Just getting better

by SewaneeAbides on 4/12/25Birchmere - AlexandriaRating: 5 out of 5

There are nostalgia tours and then there are bands that never stopped. The Cowboy Junkies have continued to evolve without changing who they are. Truly exceptions to the broader mucus industry.

  • Great Show

by JerseyJoe on 2/20/25The Vogel at Count Basie Center for the Arts - Red BankRating: 5 out of 5

Margo just sounds better every time we see them play. I'm always surprised when the show is over. Great venue for a show - great sound, intimate atmosphere and concessions right in the room.

  • Getting Old

by Netcet13 on 2/20/25The Vogel at Count Basie Center for the Arts - Red BankRating: 3 out of 5

Cowboy Junkies were disappointing. The music was OK but except for the bass player, everyone sat down. There was very little energy.

  • Great show

by Mona on 10/6/24Hoyt Sherman Place - Des MoinesRating: 5 out of 5

I've loved Margo and the guys since the late 80s. They always put on such a delicious and laid-back show. Just excellent musicians and her beautiful voice. Great show.

Love, love, love, Cowboy Junkies. But I want to hear Margo sing. Please spend some time getting volume control on the acoustic guitar and other band members.
