HAMILTON is the story of America then, told by America now. Featuring a score that blends hip-hop, jazz, R&B and Broadway, HAMILTON has taken the story of American founding father Alexander Hamilton and created a revolutionary moment in theatre--a musical that has had a profound impact on culture, politics, and education.
With book, music, and lyrics by Lin-Manuel Miranda, direction by Thomas Kail, choreography by Andy Blankenbuehler, and musical supervision and orchestrations by Alex Lacamoire, HAMILTON is based on Ron Chernow's acclaimed biography. It has won Tony®, Grammy®, and Olivier Awards, the Pulitzer Prize for Drama, and an unprecedented special citation from the Kennedy Center Honors.

It was amazing. The singing, dancing, outfits, and how they told the story it was just marvelous.
This is the first time I have seen a live musical. It was a great experience. I went with a friend who was eager to go and invited me. We both loved the experience and then he got his bag signed by the lead after the show. An all around wonderful experience.
Hamilton was simply an extraordinary production. The entire cast performed flawlessly and the staging was perfect.
This was my first live musical experience and it was amazing! With a mixture of humor, sorrow, anticipation and wonderful musicality, I was in awe, star-struck the entire performance.
I love this show and saw it a few other times at this theater BUT something was off with the sound mix and for some of the key parts I could not hear the lyrics. For instance “immigrants we get the job done” come on there were similar complaints for the first few shows of this run but the problem was not addressed. But I am lucky to know every word to every song so I still enjoyed it. I heard others complain and a few even left during the intermission. That said the cast was great and the musicians were also great and I like that they changed up some of the choreography.
The performance was very uneven. Some of the characters were outstanding while others appeared to be simply going through the required element. Particularly noticeable was the absence of clear annunciation during the fast rap numbers. This made it difficult to understand most of the words, and therefore made the experience much less enjoyable. My impression is that they are simply trying to cram in too many performances, and the actors are tired.
The show itself is a masterpiece, and worth seeing. I saw it before at the Civic in 2018 and it was magnificent. The cast for that show was incredible and way better than the current one. The acoustics are bad in this venue, but the cast spoke the lines so fast, it was garbled and hard to understand. I liked the curtain call when the entire cast took their bows together. Direction and choreography were extraordinary.
been a fan of this musical since 2018, so i was enthusiastic about seeing them now in 2025, would definitely go again, better than the original
Even though we sat way up in the Balcony section. I was a bit concerned about the location but everything was incredible. We were able to hear everything perfectly.
