  • AN AMAZING EXPERIENCE!

The Sphere is an absolutely amazing venue and the NHL put on a great show. It far exceeded my expectations!

  • Draft Day in the desert

by Mattia on 7/11/24Sphere - Las VegasRating: 5 out of 5

Sphere was such a great place to host the draft. It was a blast to be in the same place with all the fans from around the world and with the kids whose dreams came true! The draft is a cool experience and I didn’t think I would like to watch in person as much as I did. NHL hosted a very nice event. Nice choice. Keep it in person, Gary!

  • Amazing venue, don’t stop centralized draft!

    by N3k0chan81 on 7/8/24Sphere - Las VegasRating: 5 out of 5

Sphere Las Vegas was an amazing venue that boasts some of the greatest graphic displays I’ve ever seen. Day 1 of the NHL Draft I was on the 100 level in row 35 which gave me a decent view of the floor, but I was missing out on the full BIG picture. My friends and I made our way to to guest services to change our seats to the 200 level front row for Day 2. I could go on describing how surreal and awesome the graphic displays were, but it truly is something better seen in person than hearing about from someone else. I forget the number of people in attendance, but while there was a lot, it wasn’t overbearing or crowded. Food options were limited but I wasn’t interested in eating for this event. Prices were a bit high just like everywhere else. Loved the aluminum water bottles. Drink holders should be a little deeper at the seats. Might suggest that benches around the pillars be put in to provide a place to rest for those waiting or getting a little space away from the show floor. As I was there after having shoulder surgery the month prior and the fact that I’m vertically challenged (just about 5’1”) having a lower or more accessible sink would be a nice option. I did like how they had a bank of phone chargers to rent for $7/hr. Guest services employees were phenomenal and very helpful, especially Davarius (sp?) who took my friends and I everywhere we needed to go and explained so much about the Sphere. We called ourselves the Broken Brigade as I was in an immobilizer sling and my 2 friends had canes. I live in Washington State but I’m definitely going to try to come back for a concert. I was on the fence about attending, but when one of my boys from my local junior hockey team said he would be present… I knew I had to be there. 3 of 4 boys from that same team were drafted that weekend, only 2 were present, but it meant so much to be there showing my support. The NHL would be foolish to move away from centralized drafts. This was my first one and I felt it was a huge success. It provides a way for so many to share in special moments with these prospects and their families, but also it’s a huge revenue opportunity and way to help grow the awesome sport of hockey.

  • Great expérience at the Sphere

A great time with family seeing the draft this was a very good venue.

  • NHL dumb if they stop now

by The Chad on 7/2/24Sphere - Las VegasRating: 5 out of 5

This event was the best, and if the league decided to hold it in Vegas each year, I could see it becoming a mainstay in the yearly calendar for fans.

  • Experience was great, parking situation not so good

by Hh on 7/2/24Sphere - Las VegasRating: 4 out of 5

The venue was great, once we got there. We paid for parking in a certain lot, only to find out that it was closed and we had to park somewhere else. No body helped us find where we need to go, until our third time around. Was very frustrating. But the event it’s self was amazing and we had a great time.

  • The Sphere was a perfect venue for the NHL Draft!

by TrueBlue on 7/2/24Sphere - Las VegasRating: 5 out of 5

It was amazing, both Day 1 and Day 2. I will be extremely disappointed if they don't continue with this format, along with all the teams and managers in attendance. Absolutely excellent experience, very well executed. Highly impressed... a rare feat for the NHL.

  • Poor coverage - better on TV

by Charlie on 7/2/24Sphere - Las VegasRating: 2 out of 5

Sphere is great - saw U2 there, and I live in Las Vegas. I was at day 2, and all they showed was team logo and occasional numerical draft picks up to that point. When I got home, watched some of the recorded version, and on TV, showed draftee or at least a photo, with clips and you also saw who at the drafting table made the selection. Also gave info about size, R or L, forward or D, and I got NONE of that at Sphere live. So, huge NHL fan for 50+ years, and very disappointing show - didn't expect celebrities and glitz like first night, but some basic info would be nice.

  • Outstanding Venue

This by far topped any event I have ever gone to, it was overwhelmingly awesome.

  • Amazing Experience

by Craig on 7/2/24Sphere - Las VegasRating: 5 out of 5

Everything about the draft was amazing. From the time we got out of our Uber everything was top notch. We were given directions where to stand and where there was shade. Watching all the teams staff enter to being able to see all the trophy's was a unique experience. The food and beverage stands were well staffed and friendly. The experience seeing the draft on the inside of the sphere and the live video really was what made it truly special. I know it's the last year but they should have it from here every year!
