  • Spectacular!

The attention to detail is without equal. Tremendous credit goes to the Director, Kenny Leon. The entire cast does Shakespeares writing justice.

  • Lackluster performance, poor sound quality in theater.

Went to NY to see Denzel and Jake perform in Othello but we were disappointed in their lackluster performance. Hollywood does not translate to Broadway, unfortunately. Even though we were in the first 10 rows of center orchestra, they were hard to understand. Maybe the sound system was off that night, but there was no enthusiasm or projection in their voices. The patrons behind us also had an hard time understanding the muffled words and mumbling. The performance by the entire cast sounded canned, not engaging. They were going through the motions without much effort. Not only did we waste over 2 hours of our time, but also $1700+ for 2 tickets!
