About

The Psychedelic Furs scored in the ‘80s when John Hughes featured “Pretty in Pink” in his classic 1986 teen comedy Pretty in Pink, naming his film after The Furs’ song. Led by lead vocalist Richard Butler and his brother Tim Butler on bass, the band’s 1981 sophomore album Talk Talk Talk (featuring “Pretty in Pink”) debuted on the Billboard 200. Their follow-up, Forever Now (1982) included the Billboard Hot 100 hit “Love My Way,” a staple of ‘80s Top 40 radio.  Their 1987 release Midnight to Midnight because their highest-charting album on the Billboard 200 and featured the hit single “Heartbreak Beat.” The Furs went on hiatus in the ‘90s and reformed in 2000 for a co-headlining tour with The Go-Go’s and B-52’s. In 2017, the band's 1984 song "The Ghost in You" was featured in Netflix’s Stranger Things.

    Amazing venue - never been to one like it - it’s made for an orchestra, but opened during the pandemic for shows because of the space - I think because of the shape of the venue, the acoustics are incredible! What’s amazing (but I’m afraid is not going to last forever!), is how spacious it is; as far as having space to sit, move, walk, it’s a luxury experience compared to ANY OTHER venue I’ve ever been to - so much space - nice bathrooms - my wife and I got 2 tickets at a table of 4, and sat by a very nice couple of guys - pre-ordered food that was brought to the table (which was top notch - pricey, but expected) — overall, one of the coolest shows I’ve ever been to, and I’ve been to a LOT of music shows in my 50 years!

    OMG!! The Jesus & Mary Chain were SO good!! I have been a fan since I was in 8th Grade and this was my first time seeing them!! I was a total FANGIRL!! They were AMAZING!! Frankie Rose was also Very Good!! Psychedelic Furs were good too, but honestly I was only there for J&MC!!

    Both bands killed it. Danced more to JAMC. But PFurs were soooo good. Richard really gets into his singing. My bf and I had so much fun

    It was a great show and venue is intimate. I highly recommend the venue for future events. I also enjoyed psychedelic furs concer. They always impress. I have seen them at least five times over the years.
