  • Disappointing

by Sutty on 4/29/25The Carolina - CharlotteRating: 3 out of 5

Carolina Theater is a beautiful venue. Pure Prairie League was disappointing, the band that showed up was at best a PPL cover band, not one original member. They sounded alright but didn’t even have the courtesy of an encore, show lacked energy. How can they talk about their experience with RCA when none of them were even in the band at the time. Back in the day PPL was one of my favorite southern rock band.

  • Outstanding Performance

    by Boobie1983 on 4/29/25The Carolina - CharlotteRating: 5 out of 5

Pure Prairie League was outstanding. Interactive and personable. The Carolina Theatre is a great venue. The band played perfectly and met everyone after the concert in the front lobby of the venue. They stayed until the last fan left. Very grateful we attended the concert here in Charlotte.

All are very good at their craft, and seem to be really enjoying it.

  • Disappointed

by Rog on 10/5/24Rating: 2 out of 5

Pure Prairie League was disappointing. Music was Distorted and vocals were mediocre. Richie Furay, and ARS were good. Firefall was GREAT!

  • Could have been better

by Lisa on 10/4/24Family Arena - Saint CharlesRating: 3 out of 5

Could have been better, sound was off for all of the bands. Pure Prairie League did not play very long it seemed compared to the others. Vocals hard to hear for Atlanta Rhythm section.

  • A Great Show With One Major Hiccup

by Patrick on 10/1/24Family Arena - Saint CharlesRating: 4 out of 5

Richie Furay has not lost one ounce of what makes him great and it was a treat to have Jessie, his daughter, sing with him. His choice of songs was fantastic. Firefall sounded terrific and were still able to hit the high notes. They played almost everything and ended with Mexico. Bravo! Atlanta Rhythm Section was way too loud, thus, they sounded distorted and sloppy. At times you could barely hear the lead singer. The songs they chose to sing were great but they were squandered due to the aforementioned reasons. Pure Prairie League sounded very good. They sounded tight and appeared to enjoy playing together. Richie Furay, Firefall and Pure Prairie League made it an excellent show and if ARS could have gotten their sound right the show could have been superb.

  • WAY TOO LOUD

by Gigi on 10/1/24Family Arena - Saint CharlesRating: 2 out of 5

4 bands: Atlanta Rhythm Section and Pure Prairie League were way too loud. They must think all their fans need hearing aids. The other 2 bands were great, absolutely LOVED Firefall. We retreated to the hallway for ARS, hoping that PPL would be better. We wound up leaving the show entirely during the 3rd PPL song. Waste of money. Never again.
