  • Cold bluegrass and rye

    The Steeldrivers were wonderful, warm and willingly wild on all instruments and with all vocals--and you could hear lyrics 90% of the time; thus, they moved your soul and your feet. We were right down close with everybody else standing--every body couldn't help moving, but that was partly to keep from getting chilly, as The Blue Note had their AC on the turn-blue setting (I had to shell out over $20 for just a double shot of firewater to warm up from the inside).

    People in Columbia and at the venue were super nice and helpful to a first time visitor. Unique old theater. Great vibe and I can now cross this off my bucket list of groups to see.

    As usual The Steeldrivers never disappoint. It was a wonderful show and enjoyed the surprise bonus opening act of The Wood box heroes.

    One of the best concerts we have been to. Venue was fantastic for an intimate setting. SteelDrivers did not disappoint. Troubadour Blue is a band to be on the lookout for. Fabulous! Vocals, music, and stories were fantastic.

    It was a wonderful evening. The opening group Troubadour Blue was amazing! The energy and perfection of harmonies got my attention immediately. So, I was really warmed up for the Steeldrivers and they did not disappoint. It is obvious that most of them have played together for a long time - that deliverance of tight music doesn't happen overnight. Tammy couldn't sing that night, so the young lady from the opening act filled in and just fit in perfectly. She sang those songs like she had been doing it for years. THIS was a concert to remember. I felt energized after that concert, which for me is one of the gifts of live music. Thank you to the Charleston Music Hall for a perfect venue and to all the musicians for giving me an unforgettable evening!!

    Great bluegrass show! They played some of their more familiar songs to a sold out show. Lead vocalist sounded awesome.
