About

Forming in 2000 on Long Island, New York, Brand New is an alternative-punk band consisting of Jesse Lacey on vocals and guitars, Vincent Accardi on guitars and vocals, Garrett Tierney on bass, and Brian Lane on drums. They signed to Triple Crown Records and released their debut album Your Favorite Weapon in 2001, full of emotional angst and ex-girlfriend tales, before touring with the emo Dashboard Confessional, post-hardcore acts Finch and Glassjaw, alt-rock Midtown, and pop-punk bands New Found Glory and Taking Back Sunday. Their sophomore album Deja Entendu came out in 2003, featuring the singles “The Quiet Things That No One Ever Knows” and “Sic Transit Gloria... Glory Fades”, and a matured sound that became a certified gold album in the US. Derrick Sherman joined the band on guitars and keys in 2005, and the band signed with Interscope Records to release their third album The Devil and God Are Raging Inside Me in 2006. Its hit Jesus became their highest charting single in the United States. In 2009, they put out their fourth album Daisy, their most successful effort to date, reaching number six on the Billboard 200. They are currently working on their fifth studio album, and will play concerts in December 2013 on the east and west coasts where they will perform two albums in their entirety for ticket holders each night.

I absolutely loved seeing Brand New live. It was an incredible experience, beautiful music and the light show was awesome. It was easy to get to our seats and I have zero complaints, staff was accommodating and using ticket master was easy. I wish I could relive this show!

They said thank you to their fans for coming out and giving them a reason to play together. They sounded awesome that night...better than the studio recordings. I really hope this is not their last tour. I want to see them again. Thanks for coming to Portland, OR. I had a blast and I will never forget this show.

  • As good as it gets

by Oregonvaultgirl on 6/3/25Moda Center - PortlandRating: 5 out of 5

If you’re a Brand New fan, their show is as good as it gets. They sound just like their records, no auto tuned, just musicians doing what they do best. They played a 2 hour set, with most songs being from Science Fiction and Daisy. It was great to see them playing again. Worth the 8 hour travel time to see them.

  • Better Than Ever

by Brand New Fan on 6/3/25Moda Center - PortlandRating: 5 out of 5

I have seen Brand New a few times. This was by far the best sound quality and performance I have seen by them. It was great to finally see them perform songs from their Science Fiction album.

  • Best show of my life so far

    by T.Wight on 6/3/25WAMU Theater - SeattleRating: 5 out of 5

They’re the best. The audio quality and sound was tops. The music is unparalleled. They’re still the king, no matter what they say. Venue was okay, Seattle is not the greatest but the show itself was phenomenal. 1000/10

  • He really is still the king

by Thank you for returning on 6/2/25WAMU Theater - SeattleRating: 5 out of 5

Just buy the ticket but don't buy my ticket. They're the greatest band of all time. The lighting guys deserve so much credit, the entire show is an entire sensory experience. The greatest lyrics over the most beautiful music. I can't even describe how incredible it is that they stand on stage and the sound that is produced is produced. Seeing Vin and Jesse play together was magical. The two drummers. The keys and bass (maybe the most important of all). Hearing some songs for the first time. Smelling the incense again. The lighting guys were so nice. Absolutely incredible. Thank you Jesse for coming back. Thank you Brand New for making me feel brand new again!!!
