SAY ANYTHING IN CONCERT:

Emo/pop punk band Say Anything have mastered the art of penning infectious, melodic pop songs without losing their edge, continually pushing their sound  forward by incorporating elements from genres as far-ranging as math rock and indie pop. The band expertly balances their high-octane material with frontman Max Bemis' softer side, treating fans at their live shows to the full gamut of sonic experience, from frenetic barn burners like "Alive With the Glory of Love" to introspective acoustic songs like "Belt." With their highly anticipated eighth album Hebrews due out in the summer of 2014, the band will hit the road on tour in support of the release.

BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:

Formed in Los Angeles in 2000, Say Anything self-released their first two EPs, Junior Varsity and In Your Dreams, as well as their debut full-length Baseball:  An Album by Sayanything. In 2004 they made their label debut with ...Is a Real Boy, released on Doghouse Records to a Top 10 spot on Billboard's Top Heatseekers chart. Despite lineup changes and several hiatuses brought on by health issues suffered by frontman Max Bemis, the band's next three albums were all Top 40 hits on the Billboard 200, making them a festival staple and constant presence on the Vans Warped Tour. In support of the 2014 release of eighth album Hebrews, the band once again hits the road for another round of high-octane shows.

    I saw them live in May at a small venue and it was awesome. They’re one of my favourite bands and would love to see them perform again 🤘 highly recommend ‘em in concert!

    I saw Say Anything last night, 12/13/24 at the Fillmore in Silver Springs, MD. This had been a 20 year dream come true. Max and the band put on a high energy interactive show that really hit me in the feels. I had balcony seating, and the view was amazing. I can't wait for the next opportunity. THANK YOU MAX!

    Say Anything brought the heat for the 20th anniversary. It was incredible to hear some of my favorites played live. The band was so lively. We had such a blast. The crowd was fun and knew every word to the songs. Can say this was one of my favorite shows.

    Max and the band were phenomenal live. I was pleasantly surprised by how great his vocals were, and the energy they brought to the performance. They didn't waste time with a bunch of fluff like a lot of bands. They played the entire album, and even came out for a two song encore. Overall, it was an amazing experience getting to see Max live. It actually moved me to tears. The venue was nice and the staff were very helpful. My only complaint is that when buying a bottled beverage, they had to take my cap and throw it away behind the counter. It was just a slight safety concern for me. Other than that, everyone was great!

    This was a phenomenal show and experience. The door line and beverage line never felt long. We were closer to the front than we were the back and jumped into the mosh pit for a while. Everyone was super nice and helpful and full of solidarity. We caught all three bands and it was great. Amazing energy all around. Say Anything kicked all the booty and everyone in the place singing along together made for an unforgettable experience. Truly, we had the absolute best time.

    It was nostalgic...but in a good way. Say Anything has stayed true to form in concert. There are few frontmen touring today that are as lovely as Max on stage.
