  • One of the greatest bands to see live

by Darren in Savannah GA on 1/13/25Rating: 5 out of 5

I’ve been to half a dozen Manchester shows ever since I first heard wolves at night while playing NHL 08. I’ve never been disappointed and always left in a better mood than when I showed up. I’ve also seen the leader Andy do a solo show and it was fantastic. I hope he does another solo run. Please don’t miss this band if they’re in town. I drove 4 hours round trip by myself last time I saw them. Totally worth it.

  • Disappointing concert

by Devo on 11/24/24Bayou Music Center - HoustonRating: 2 out of 5

After anticipating a concert consisting of MOs music I have listened to on Alternative Rock stations I was very disappointed in the Houston concert. No vocals as expected and mainly not great hard rock music. One of the few concerts I have left early.

  • Needed an encore

by Jordan on 11/24/24Bayou Music Center - HoustonRating: 3 out of 5

This venue (Bayou music hall) is amazing. The sound is great and it gives an intimate feeling with the band you're there to see. My only complaint is their curfew... I guess they have a no encore policy. Manchester Orchestra was touring with Thrice. I new Thrice was more of a rock band, so it didn't surprise me that Manchester Orchestra played more of their heavier songs... But I still expected to hear their most popular songs. Instead of performing 2 of my favorite songs from them, they did a little mashup for a few seconds of several of their songs like an homage... Then they played Bed Head and just left. No encore, almost no crowd interaction. Just over... The music sounded great, but their performance felt like an opening act, like they had to rush through the setlist and get off stage ASAP. It left me feeling very unsatisfied. I definitely had higher expectations. At the very least, I expected to hear The Silence. Heartbreaking that they didn't play it. Half of the crowd couldn't believe it was over until the lights came on and they started playing house music and breaking down the equipment on stage. Decent show, but it just felt rushed and left me disappointed.

  • Thrice Manchester Orchestra

by Brad on 11/23/24Bayou Music Center - HoustonRating: 5 out of 5

Easy ticket distribution. Great event venue. Two awesome bands!

  • Gig was too short

by Big D on 11/23/24Bayou Music Center - HoustonRating: 3 out of 5

Band were great as were support acts. However the main gig was very short, and ended surprisingly abruptly. No encore, no goodbye from the band and minimal communication in general from the band, which was disappointing. The audience deserved a bit more respect.

  • Pretty basic

by drumsdci on 11/22/24South Side Ballroom - DallasRating: 3 out of 5

The band played well, yes. However, you can tell the sound was off, way high on vocal and drums. Could hardly hear the keys and low guitars. It seemed like the band was simply going through the motions. The lead singer did not seem like he wanted to be there. No theatrics or visuals either, just the band on stage with some moving lights behind them. Interesting choice to not do an Encore too, hmm. On a more positive note, their drummer is amazing. His rhythms are not your simple "2 and 4 on the snare". His accuracy is some of the best I've seen live too.

  • Disappointed
